How it works & supported files

01 / Check the characters

The file format is checked first, followed by UTF-8, UTF-16 with BOM and Korean CP949. Check the suggested reading in the preview. If it looks wrong or is uncertain, open “Text or columns look wrong?” and select the settings yourself. Characters already saved as ? cannot be recovered.

02 / Choose what changes

Spaces and duplicate rows are removed only when selected. Rows with inconsistent column counts are reported by record number; export is blocked until the structure is corrected.

03 / Save a new copy

The default XLSX export preserves every value as text, including 001 and long IDs. Convert amount columns to numbers in Excel when needed. UTF-8 CSV export is also available.

Your files and privacy

File contents are processed in browser memory and are not sent to a server. Resetting or closing the page releases references to working data; it does not guarantee secure erasure. Downloaded files remain on your device. Access logs and inquiry emails are handled separately; see the privacy notice.

What this tool handles

Encoding conversion, whitespace, empty and duplicate rows, and UTF-8 CSV export. XLSX output stores every cell as text. XLSX input, automatic date changes and recovery of lost source values are not supported. Limits: 20 MiB input, 50,000 data rows, 200 columns, 200,000 total cells.
